Pencil sharpeners

Does anyone have a favorite electric pencil sharpener? I have been using a Panasonic auto stop KP310 that has been discontinued. I just purchased the Panasonic replacement which is new model KP410 and I don't like it as much. It has a longer barrel, the pencils go in much farther so I can't use them down to stubs. I like to glue my the short end of the old pencil to a new one but they fall apart in the sharpener. Anyone have any suggestions??
