Congratulations to Jenn Falcon and Kelly Lewis whose work is accepted into Explore This! 6. We look forward to seeing your works on the on-line exhibition! My piece was also accepted.
I cannot tell you how proud I am of the work being done by our chapter. When I was president one of my main goals was getting chapter members to submit entries to National and look at you now.
I want to tell Kendra what a wonderful job she has done raising this failing chapter to one of the hottest in the National register. You have done a phenominal job.
I would make a suggestion to our membership. I think we should put a time limit on the presidency. I think 2 or 3 years should be the length of a term. Of course if you have someone who loves the job they could apply for a second term but no more than that. The burnout rate really is about 3 years. What does everyone think. Susan
I sent everyone an email, not sure if you all received it because I only heard from 2 people but with regards to Susan's comments, I am going to have to step down as president of the chapter. My dad is needing more assistance and my colored pencil classes in RI are keeping me busy. I've been getting many requests for classes which in turn could turn out to be good for our chapter and good for CPSA. Anyway, I am looking for someone who would be willing to give the presidency a try, maybe just start with planning a few meetings. I am willing to help.
